MY STORY
This year Dave, Rosalie and I are dedicating our zebra walk to Lori Sager. Lori is recently diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the cervix, a very very rare and aggressive form of NETS. She is a beautiful 29 year old wife and mother, and is a ridiculously talented hairstylist/colorist who spends her time helping women look and feel beautiful!

We have been working with NCAN for over 10 years helping to raise awareness for this under recognized, under funded form of cancer. It’s a weird kind of kismet that my dear friend Kim’s beautiful daughter-in-law is facing this particular journey now. I’m relived in part that she has access to my beloved zebra friends who have been “there” and are always willing to share their journeys. And if they don’t have answers she needs? They will work tirelessly to find someone who does!

This is a Community based on Awareness, Education, Love and Hope and there are a couple of ways you can help.

1. REGISTER to walk with us. Put on the tshirt and help raise awareness.

2. SPONSOR any member of Sheila’s YaYas, or any walker! I know times are tough right now with Covid and economic uncertainty. NCAN is feeling it too with cancelled in-person events, but if you can, a donation of any size will support NCAN’s ability to help the NET Community.

3. SHARE this event info on social media to help raise awareness.

Thank you for your support and for keeping Lori and all our Zebras in your prayers!

XOXOXO Di and Dave

RAISING MONEY FOR...
the Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network. Money raised from the Strides for Stripes event goes directly to programs that assist Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Cancer (NET) patients, such as our NET Cancer Hotline, Patient Conferences, and educational webinars.

We're a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer, providing support for caregivers and people with NETs, and funding for NET cancer research. Since 2003, it has been our mission, or as we like to say, our passion, to educate and support the NET community as a whole. That’s our thing.
