Dear Friends and Family:
I have never participated in a fundraising event before but when I heard about this bike ride to support Ohel, I immediately signed up.
As many of you may know, Josh and I have a wonderful 5 year old niece, with whom I share a name, who has been in our family for 4 years. The foster care system of NYC has enabled her to be with us all and the agency that has supported her and my brother-in-law/sister-in-law is Ohel. Though I have never met any of the folks who work for Ohel, the stories that I have heard; through thick and thin, throught the vagaries of the City and State bureaucracies, through the court systems; about the services of Ohel and the support that they have provided is nothing short of amazing.
I am convinced that any activity that Ohel provides for the children of New York City, must be"like manna from heaven" for these children.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal to support Ohel!
