FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to participate in a charity partner event. YOU MUST GET THE OFFICIAL INVITE to secure a spot on the team. THIS IS ONLY A FUNDRAISING PAGE.
If you are doing a sporting event on your own and do not require a charity slot, or are creating your own event, YOU MUST CONTACT Meital (she has a lot of info and ideas to help your fundraising efforts)!
Each event has different amounts of fundraising commitments. By committing to TEAM OHEL, we require you to raise a minimum donation of:
$2,500 for ING NYC MARATHON
$2,500 for NYC TRIATHLON.
$750 for TD 5 BORO BIKE TOUR
We pay for our charitable spots and we count on the fundraising to ensure the success of our events. If you have secured a spot in any sporting event on your own and are so kind to raise money on our behalf - we are so grateful! And if you have decided to do some cool event where we net your proceeds -very cool!
Please know your amazing fundraising efforts are helping raise invaluable funds to help kids with disabilities, foster children, and children in Domestic Violence Shelters. Your hard earned fundraising dollars will provide schloarships to send children to Camp Kaylie and OHEL's year-round camps. Also, proceeds will be used for our Simcha Fund to provide a Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration, clothing, and anything else needed for a life cycle event that is not covered by government funding for foster children and children in our Domestic Violence Shelters.
2. How do I start my own fanpage for fundraising?
You can now create & manage your own personal page, share your photos, goals & get sponsors. For certain events, the www.Crowdrise.com platform is used. We thank you for making a commitment to OHEL. You have taken a great step!
