This year i have the opportunity to participate in the Jerusalem marathon for Ohel/Camp Kaylie. Camp Kaylie is a camp where everyone is treated the same and is looked at from their abilities and not their disabilities. Kaylie is a place where typical campers and special needs campers are included together in one bunk and are always together. Here is a story that is an example of what Camp Kaylie is.

Camper: Hi! whats wrong? why are you sad?

Special needs camper: I'm homesick and i miss my mommy and tatty because it's my first time in camp.

Camper: You know what? I'm also homesick and miss my mommy and daddy because it's my first time in camp.

Special needs camper: So you mean we're the same?

Camper: Exactly.

This story describes the friendships that are created in camp Kaylie. It shows how one simple conversation can make a difference in someone else's life.
