Hello all! I am excited to be participating in the iANDA! 5km race for HAVEN Free Clinic on October 5th! All proceeds from this event will support the HAVEN Free Clinic, a student-run clinic that provides comprehensive primary care services to members of the New Haven community free-of-charge. I have worked as a director of the Medical Debt and Insurance Counselling department since January, show full storywhere our team of volunteers and directors have helped patients apply and get approved for programs that fund their specialty care at local hospitals. Any donations, regardless of their size, will be really helpful to keep our clinic running. For low-income patients in the New Haven area, the HAVEN Free Clinic is a critical resource, and it can only survive off of the generosity of individuals who donate during events like the 5K. Any assistance you provide will go directly towards care for these patients, and will thus make a real and meaningful impact for them.
