Who we are:
In 2001, 29-year-old Brad Kaminsky passed away after a long fight with brain cancer. Before he died, Brad’s family and friends promised him that they would never stop fighting for a cure for cancer, and that fight continues today with Walk 4 Rock. Since 2001, the Brad Kaminsky Foundation has donated over one million dollars to cancer research. The foundation is run by Brad’s sister, Lisa Millar. Lisa continues her brother’s fight every day by helping those impacted and organizing events all over the country. Lisa has received numerous awards and recognitions for her tireless contributions to the field of cancer research, but her most important achievement is keeping her promise to her brother. When former Heritage High School student, Raquel Elardo passed away from Ewing Sarcoma our foundation chose to continue our fight for a cure in honor of Rocky. Walk 4 Rock happens during the sunset as she has been described as a "forever sunshine" and the "brightest ray of sunshine." Following the walk, race participants will have the opportunity for a lantern release in honor of Rocky. All proceeds will go towards "Rocky Cares" a foundation started in honor of Rocky that funds Ewing Sarcoma research and ... We will continue to fight for Rocky and others every single day and hope this event brings a glimpse of her light back. What we do:Together with your help we have donated over 1.8 Million Dollars to research funding.
