The Mission Partners were established in 2012 with a goal to help educate the community on how our individual organizations work together to achieve an ultimate goal of supporting those in need. In the fall of 2013 we held our 1st Mission Walk 5K because of the success of the event we decided to add another resulting in The Running With a Mission 5K. The first of these events is to be held in March of 2014. The goal of the event is to raise funds for the operations of four non-profit agencies located in Cumberland County, PA. The four non-profits are: Carlisle C.A.R.E.S., Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Safe Harbour, and Salvation Army. Although, the organizations differ in some area, each one is important in bettering the quality of life of those in need.

Each of our agencies provides services to individuals in need, whether that be need for shelter, food, or protection from domestic violence. Our agencies strive to provide equal opportunities for all individuals to obtain stable and happier lives.

This run & walk is a collaborative effort of our agencies to raise awearness of the need in our community, as well as much needed funding to contiue our mission.
