MY STORY
thank you so much for joining me on this journey. My cancer story will continue to be written everyday and until a cure is found. With your support, the research we need can take place and hopefully my story will end with a “no evidence of disease” party!!!
 
My Story: After an icky year of hospitalizations, tests, and random unexplained illness, on July 17, 2020 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Duodenal Cancer with metastasis to my stomach, pancreas, and liver. I was told by the doctors that my cancer is rare and even more so in a woman my age. They told me that the cancer is “controllable but not curable” and three years  multiple surgeries, seizures, and a stupid heart later, I am here and still fighting! I have chosen to keep up hope for a cure and continue smiling because, really, there is no other option!

The Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network. Money raised from the Strides for Stripes event goes directly to programs that assist Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Cancer (NET) patients, such as our NET Cancer Hotline, Patient Conferences, and educational webinars.
 
We're a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer, providing support for caregivers and people with NETs, and funding for NET cancer research. Since 2003, it has been our mission, or as we like to say, our passion, to educate and support the NET community as a whole. That’s our thing.
