2. What are the race options and schedules?
The 5k Running for Recovery is a race for runners as well as a family fun walk; everyone is welcome! Race day is Sunday, September 30, 2018 and registration will be from 8:00-9:00 am. The race starts at 9:30 am sharp with prizes and refreshments at the finish.

3. What does pledging to run mean, exactly?
Pledging to run and sponsoring runners supports Gould Farm's financial aid program.  Raising money helps families in need of assistance and sponsors multiply that support with their pledges.  Get all the sponsors you can so when you cross the finish line your whole community is with you!

4. How can my sponsors submit payment?
Online contributions can be made by credit card on the runner’s personalized page found on our website at www.wizathon.com/gouldfarm. Just make sure to tell your sponsors to select your name from the list of runners.

Sponsors can also send checks to Lisa Lewis, Development Office, Gould Farm at 100 Gould Road, Monterey, MA 01245.  Just make sure to tell your sponsors to select your name from the list of runners!

5. I am concerned that I might not be able to raise the required funds. Will I be able to do it?
We're in this together!  Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies for sharing your race with friends and families will make it easy for you to ask for pledges and collect sponsorships.

Please refer to the sample letters on your personal fundraising page.  Make your note personal so your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors all know that they are sponsoring YOU and YOUR race!  Many companies offer charitable donation matching programs so make sure to ask your sponsors to check with their employers, too.

You will be surprised how quickly your community responds to your request to help Gould Farm.  We all have been touched by mental illness in our lives or in the lives of our loved ones.  Being a part of someone's recovery story is an amazing opportunity to bring some hope and joy to this terrible illness.  We can do it together!

6. Is the race only for runners?
No!  The Gould Farm 5k is designed as a day of fun and fitness for the whole family. You can run, jog, walk, stroll (just no bicycles on the race route).

7. Do you run alone or as a team?
Either! Participants can run alone or create their own team to run 5 kilometers on the beautiful, tree-lined back roads of the southern Berkshires. Professional timing will be provided.

8. I have never run a race.  Will I be able to finish the 5k?
Absolutely! It might take a little training and coaching, but many of our participants are first-timer runners.  The race route is a familiar walk for Gould Farmers and you're welcome to adopt whatever pace works for you.

On the day of the Race, you can take part in pre-race stretches and warm-ups led by our professional fitness staff. Our hope is to inspire you to achieve ultimate “personal wellness” and, at the same time, participate in a competitive and family friendly athletic event that will allow you to spend meaningful time together with family and friends.

9. Is there a refund/exchange policy?
Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, simply make us aware of the issue and we will be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes, or corrections. Race registration fees are not refundable.

10. Is parking available?
Parking will be available all morning.  Please allow sufficient time for parking and registration.
