About Us

The Giddy Up and Go 5k/15k Race was started in 2014 at the stunning Locust Hill Farm in Middleburg, VA with a goal to raise funds for brain health research. Our race offered school teams the opportunity to gather their friends and teammates and join forces on a scenic run.  The Ed Walsh Memorial Scholarship was presented to the largest school team to help encourage participation from our student athletes.  After two successful years of "running for a cause", we launched our first-ever Giddy Up and Golf event in 2016. It was a huge success, so we're back for another year of "golfing for a cause" in 2017!  

Our 2nd Annual Giddy up and Golf will be hosted at Top Golf in One Loudoun on Jan 22nd.  Once again, students are encouraged to join us for a fun day with their friends and teammates....all in the name of raising awareness and funds for Healthy Heads research. Teams that hit target size and fundraising dollars will get their team name on back of our Giddy Up and Golf t-shirts! Plus, one school and team will have bragging rights as Top Dog at Top Golf at the Battle IN THE Burn!  Most importantly, all proceeds will benefit brain tumor, stroke, brain injury and brain illness research.
