EMUNAH of America presents Over the Edge, a unique event taking place on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 at the Berger Organization building in Newark, New Jersey. Over the Edge gives participants the opportunity to rappel down a 16 story building in a completely safe and controlled environment. 

 

Donations raised from this event will be sent to EMUNAH in Israel, to ensure that young women will receive a scholarship to the Florence and Joseph Appleman College of Art and Technology; Children and teens in one of our 5 residential programs, 8 multipurpose day care centers and 3 emergency shelters will receive the necessary counseling and care to ensure they have a chance at breaking the cycle of distress and becoming successful and independent adults.  EMUNAH Over the Edge is your chance to attain impressive bragging rights.  "Hey, see that building over there? Yeah, I rappelled down it."  Marathons, triathlons, bike rides, snooze - same old!  Check this off your bucket list. And if it's not on your list, it should be!

With the help of trained and certified rappelling experts, you will spend the most adrenaline packed (but completely safe) 20 minutes of your life rappelling down the side of a building. As an EMUNAH Edger, you can expect:

 

 

How to Participate

To secure a rope, each participant is required to raise a minimum of $1,000 for the opportunity to participate in EMUNAH Over the Edge! There are limited slots available, and they go to the first people who register. You must weigh between 110 and 300 pounds. If you are not 18 years of age or older, a parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver.

 

Register as a “Chicken” – No Fundraising Minimum

Don’t let your fear of heights stop you from being part of this amazing event! Whether you would like to join a team your friends or co-workers have created, registering as a “chicken” allows you to fundraise and support the event without having to go over the edge. While this registration type does not have a fundraising minimum, we will provide you with your own personal fundraising page.  And any “chicken” that raises at least $180 will receive an official “I was too chicken go over the edge for EMUNAH” event t-shirt.
