FIFTY YEARS OF DYNAMITE GRADUATES!

Dynamite Youth Center (DYC) first opened its doors in Brooklyn, NY in December of 1970. Two years later, one hundred acres of land was purchased in Fallsburg, NY. In light of providing a safe space for adolescents and young adults to retreat from their environment, residential services became an integral part of the program. Our mission has always been and remains to support young people become responsible members of the community by helping them meet their physical, emotional, social, educational, vocational and legal needs and to abstain from illicit drug use. DYC was the first long-term residential program exclusively serving adolescents and young adults in New York State.

DYC is a movement; our mission is to help as many people as we can. In our fifty years, we have touched the lives of thousands. We have helped young people return to school, continue their education, and pursue their career dreams. We have helped families understand the process of recovery, and the importance of support and after care. We have provided a safe place for young people to work on themselves, build themselves up, and re-enter society.

We are saving lives.
