MY STORY
Hi! My name is Sophia, and I am so excited to be participating in Dogtoberfest 2020!

I started with this shelter in April of 2018, by fostering kittens. It has since led me into volunteering at the shelter, which has given me so much experience with homeless pets and the capability to help thousands of animals. I have been involved with helping photograph cats and dogs for the shelters website, transferring animals from other shelters, fundraising events, fostering kittens, cleaning kennels, adoptions, socializing cats, walking dogs, helping at the shelter's thrift store, and more.

Friends of Upland Animal Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit and charitable organization dedicated to saving shelter pets at Upland Animal Shelter and in the Inland Empire region. They rely only on donations and get no city funding.

Friends cares for approximately 2,500 animals who arrive at the shelter each year. They also transfer in more than 500 at-risk animals from regional shelters. This is only possible with donations from the generous and selfless public.

Please help by making a donation. Every penny counts and makes a difference to animals in need.

Appreciatively,
Sophia <3

P.S. I also recommend checking out the 2nd Chance Thrift Shop. Their profits go to the Friends of Upland Animal Shelter! How amazing! Shop address: 972 W. 9th Street, Upland
