May is National Brain Tumor Awareness month. Sponsors in many states will host a 5K walk/run to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research.
Denise’s People (www.denisespeople.org), an approved 501c3 non-profit organization, is hosting our 6th Annual Walk to End Brain Tumors. Information and registration can be found online at www.denisespeople.org.
Every year approximately 70,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with a brain tumor. There are an estimated 700,000 people, children and adults, living with either a malignant or non-malignant brain tumor in the United States today. The cause of brain tumors is unknown and research is underfunded.
Because of our generous sponsors, 100% of all proceeds go to local research programs. We thank you and hope we can count on you this year.
All businesses supporting our effort will have their name or logo on a banner at the walk. With a donation of $500 or more your company’s name or logo will be printed on the back of the T-shirts. Donations in the amount of $1000 or more will also have their company’s name/logo posted on Denise’s People website with a link to your business site for one year.
You also can help by donating gift cards or services. If your business has a fitness program, you can help by encouraging your employees to sign up for the walk. Interested parties making donations should contact Denise’s People via email at [email protected] no later than April 15, 2016 due to printing deadlines for shirts and banner.
Credit card donations can be made on line at www.denisespeople.org. You can also mail a check payable to Denise’s People, 134 Winterwood Dr. Butler, Pa. 16001.
