In Memory of Frank Cooper  -  Keeping Coop in Our Hearts

 

Frank, a very healthy and active guy, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma on September 7, 2013.  After successful surgery, he had the standard chemotherapy and radiation treatments. From December to May he was involved in two clinical trials, a vaccine at Hillman & immunology drugs at Duke University, NC.  This whole time he had a decent quality of life and was able to live each day fully.  After two tumor progressions, he had some mobility loss and went on Avastin and 2 other chemo drugs.  His mobility came back, and he was able to have a wonderful summer and early fall enjoying family events and reunions along with travel and activities with friends.  In November & December he experienced further tumor progressions and difficulties, but always had a smile on his face and a great attitude.  He passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2014.

 

Frank walked with us in 2014 and we walk in his memory now as we did in 2015.
