MY STORY
This will be my 2nd year walking/running for Team Blue Hen Thunder in the Disaster Dash 5K benefitting the William Averette Anderson Fund. I am raising funds to help support the Bill Anderson Fund, which works to expand the number of professionals from historically underrepresented groups in the fields of hazards and disaster research and practice.

Especially now in 2020—with the Black Lives Matter peaceful protests, and the differential affects of COVID-19 on communities of color caused by social structures and political institutions—we must continue to work for a world in which people and scholars of color have equitable access to every opportunity.

Please help me support the important work of the Bill Anderson Fund by sponsoring me as I run this year’s Disaster Dash 5K.  Every penny counts; a $10 donation will show solidarity with this organization’s mission.

RAISING MONEY FOR...
The 2020 6th Annual BAF Disaster Dash will be held in concurrence with the 45th Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop, an event with international attendance that will be hosted *virtually* July 12 - 15 by the University of Colorado Boulder Natural Hazards Center.

Proceeds from the event will still support the Bill Anderson Fund mission to expand the number of professionals from historically underrepresented groups in the fields of hazards and disaster research and practice. This year, your support of and participation in this event is more important than ever. Join us in July and run or walk where you are to send a clear message on the vital need for additional representation in our field.
