Virtual Participation 
Run where YOU are on July 15th (or another date in July of your choosing) and join us in supporting the BAF's mission!

We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity this year to participate virtually - including supporting individuals and teams who are running/walking to support the BAF! 

Simply visit the home page and click on the red REGISTER button. You'll decide on the next page whether you'd like to participate as an Individual or a Team (we DO encourage virtual teams, by the way!).

Once you've entered your information and paid your registration fee, you'll be able to set up your individual or team fundraising page so that you can promote your virtual participation in support of the BAF's mission and gain sponsorships from your friends, family and colleagues.

The BAF Disaster Dash 5K is an easy run (or walk or jog, if you prefer!) to experience the outdoors wherever you are. Here are our tips for success: 

  • Plot out your route ahead of time. A 5K is just over 3.1 miles. We recommend avoiding heavy traffic areas, and if possible - picking someplace scenic! 
  • If you've set up a virtual team, decide on a meeting time and place. We also recommend doing a training walk/run or two together before July 17th, if possible - mainly because it's FUN! 
  • Many of us will plan to run/walk based on the timing of our traditional event in Colorado at 6:30 AM MDT. If you'd like to begin at the same time, we'd love to have you! We understand, however, if you decide to head out for your 5K at a later time that day.
  • Make sure you take photos and share them on social media with: #virtualdasher and #bafdisasterdash2020! We're so excited to see who's out there running (or walking, or jogging, some hybrid of all three) with us!
