Why:

Raise money to support Cycles for Change, enjoy a fun summer bike ride, and BBQ lunch afterwards!

 

Routes:

8 mile route map
We'll follow the Hiawatha Trail to West River Parkway, cross the river to Boom Island, ride through Nicollet Island and St. Anthony Main, cross the Stone Arch Bridge, and head back on West River Parkway and Hiawatha Trail.​

20 mile route map
This loop will take us along West River Parkway, Minnehaha Creek, past Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska, and along the Midtown Greenway.

 

Public transit info:

Metro Transit buses 2 and 67 run along Franklin Avenue. The Blue Line Franklin Avenue Station is half a mile west of Triangle Park.

 

Bathroom facilities info:

Gender neutral, single occupancy bathrooms are located in the 2525 building next to Cycles for Change's shop. You will need a key to access the bathrooms. Please see a C4C staff member or volunteer for bathroom keys.

 

Bike parking:

You may lock your bike to the fence along the south side of the park. There will be "Bike Parking" signs there. Participants are responsible for their bikes and personal belongings. Cycles for Change will not provide locks or supervision. Cycles for Change is not responsible for lost bikes or belongings.

 

Day of registration:

You will be able to register for the ride at the event, however, we will only be able to accept cash or check for the registration fee. We accept credit card via pre-registration on this website only. If you have access to this site via your smart phone, you can register and pay via credit card that way.

 

Family-friendly event:

We welcome riders of all ages and abilities to this event! All youth (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Lunch:

We will be BBQing! There will be meat, vegetarian, and vegan options.

 

Volunteering:

If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please email [email protected]. Volunteers will help with day-of registration, bike marshaling the rides, and cooking lunch.
