MY STORY
In January of 2017 at the age of 28 and just two weeks after graduating from nursing school, Brittany Kay Vellucci was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma. In-between 2 brain surgery’s she managed to take and pass (with flying colors) her board of nursing. Brittany continued with chemo and radiation until she was cleared to start her career as a nurse.

Brittany loved caring for others, going on hikes, fishing, spending time at the beach, and relaxing at the camp ground with her family in Minnesota. She was an expert at finding the best ice cream no matter where she was, attending concerts, visiting new breweries, and overall just enjoying life to the fullest with a contagious smile on her face.

On November 3rd, 2018, just two weeks after turning 30 and one day after her and her husband celebrated their six year anniversary, Brittany lost her battle with brain cancer.

We are walking to remember a life that was cut far too short, and to honor those who are still fighting this disease.
