I am so excited to participate in the 2023 MN Brain Tumor 5K! Money raised from this event will be used for brain tumor research.
We lost our favorite human over four years ago to a horrible brain cancer diagnosis. I want so badly for people who have to hear the diagnosis “glioblastoma” to be able to feel hope instead of fear. To feel support instead of feeling alone. To feel like their prognosis doesn’t have to be their ending. We need more research and resources to accomplish this.
Today nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and more than 69,000 others will be diagnosed this year. Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones.
This is just one way I’m choosing to keep the memory of my best friend and soul sister alive, so if you’re able to sponsor this run, I would appreciate it immensely. Thank you so much.
