MY STORY
I am so excited to participate in the MN Brain Tumor 5K again this year! Money raised from this event will be used for brain tumor research, a cause near and dear to my heart!

My godson Finnegan was diagnosed with a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma in 2012 at the age of nine. Fortunately the tumor was operable and was fully removed with one surgery and today, Finn is a healthy 12 (almost 13) year old. The positive results of Finn's operation are due in large part to funds raised for brain tumor research and technology developed for diagnosis and treatment. However, Finn's journey is not over and we need to continue raising funds for brain tumor research to support him and others living with brain tumors, as well as those who will begin their journeys this year.

Today nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and more than 69,000 others will be diagnosed this year. Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones.
