I had no idea how common brain tumors were until I started working as a Neuro nurse. Unfortunately, we learned firsthand how devasting brain tumors are this past year when Abi was diagnosed with glioblastoma and taken from us much, much too soon. Her tumor was found in December. She passed away only 10 months later.
Abi Nadeau Winsor was one of the most amazing and kindhearted people I have ever met. She was always willing to help others, and during her final months, we discussed the hope for advancing research for brain tumor diagnosis, treatments, and overall life expectancy.
