MY STORY
Courtney's Crew is back for 2024! Still here, living and loving life despite a pesky brain cancer diagnosis four years ago.

Courtney Burnett was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma, an "incurable "(for now...together we'll change that!)" cancer in 2020. At the time, she was in her last year of medical residency training to be an internal medicine physician.

Courtney is now a hospital medicine physician with at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul and assistant professor of medicine with the UMN Medical School. She spends her time outside of the hospital raising awareness for brain cancer, patient advocacy, and invisible illness/disability through writing and public speaking.

She writes the blog "Elephant, Lotus, Brain Tumor" and is the author of the award-winning memoir Difficult Gifts: A Physician's Journey to Heal Body and Mind. Her outlook is inspired by her work in medicine, mindfulness and spirituality. "Regardless of the unexpected situations life brings, I believe that the power of hope, mindfulness and vulnerable storytelling can help us find gifts amid difficulty.” Read more of her story on her website www.drcourtneyburnett.com

Hi Friends!!

Will you join me in 2024 (either virtually in in-person) to walk/run/swim/bike/dance/yoga your way to a 5K?
I love participating in the annual MN Brain Tumor 5K. This year will be my fourth event and I hope we can raise money and awareness to help others faced with brain tumors.

Over the past three years, we have raised over $5000 for brain tumor research and awareness. How awesome is that?!

100% of $ raised from this event goes directly to brain tumor research.

Share with your family and friends.
RAISING MONEY FOR...
100% of every dollar raised from this event will go toward important brain tumor research, through the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc. 100% of event costs are generously paid for by local and national sponsors.
