MY STORY
I am so excited to be participating in the 2020 Strides for Stripes Zebra Walk Across America. Every stride we take is a step in the right direction to improving the lives of thousands who suffer from Neuroendocrine Cancer (NET). Back in 2006 my mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. She had the whipple procedure, (a very invasive surgery) chemo and radiation and was then declared cancer free. Flash-forward to fall of 2019, her cancer had come back and had spread to other multiple areas. Not only was the cancer back but she had been misdiagnosed back in 2006 with the type of cancer she had. She has what is called PNET - meaning the cancer originated in the pancreas and has metastasized to other areas (including liver, spine bones, ovary, and some other areas). All this new news was devastating. She has been so strong through all the ups and downs of this disease. Her current treatment includes monthly injections and monthly rounds of oral chemo.

Please help by sponsoring me. Together we will make a difference.

RAISING MONEY FOR...
the Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network. Money raised from the Strides for Stripes event goes directly to programs that assist Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Cancer (NET) patients, such as our NET Cancer Hotline, Patient Conferences, and educational webinars.

We're a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer, providing support for caregivers and people with NETs, and funding for NET cancer research. Since 2003, it has been our mission, or as we like to say, our passion, to educate and support the NET community as a whole. That’s our thing.
