I am so excited to be participating in the Totally 80's 5K with the College of Pharmacy Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group. Money raised from this event will be used for urgent research to bring more clinical trial options to children. Sanfilippo Syndrome is a devastating neurodegenerative lysosomal storage disorder of childhood. This a progressive disease that ultimately leads to the child's loss of ability to walk, talk and eat on their own. We will do this run in honor of those that cannot.
There are new technologies and research emerging every day with the help of donations from generous individuals. This foundation is dear to our heats because right here in Columbia, SC, resident Eliza has this rare disease.
