MY STORY
Dear Friends and Family,

I am so excited to be participating in the Sulam Masquerade Bowl-a-Thon 2020. Money raised from this event will be used to help provide a high quality Inclusive Jewish Education for children in the Greater Washington community, irrespective of their learning differences.

As you know, my children attend Berman Hebrew Academy but what you may not know is that Sulam is a partner school that provides high quality Inclusive Jewish Education right along side of them. Just today when I was speaking with my youngest daughter about the list for her bat mitzvah party, I asked her about a girl's name on the school list that I did not recognize. She told me this girl is new this year and that she is part of Sulam. She also said that the girl is not able to attend most of the bat mitzvahs on shabbat because she lives further away in Baltimore. My daughter was excited to tell me that this Sulam student can probably come to her party because it will be on a Sunday.  This is just one example of regardless of whatever kind of learning differences they may have, Sulam students are integrated into social structure of the school.

I am pleased to bowl in honor of the many Sulam students who have enhanced my children's lives at Berman Hebrew Academy.
