After a hiatus, the Sojourner Truth Walk is back and I'm happy to be walking in-person this year. Will Eamonn join me? Who knows! It might depend on baseball schedules or the allure of Fortnite on a Saturday afternoon.

For the longer read: Money raised from this walk will support Camp Sojourner, a nonprofit leadership program for Philadelphia girls ages 8-18, which offers year-round leadership development including mentoring, service projects, creative arts, nature hikes, college tours, and a one week overnight camp (girlsleadershipcamp.org).

 

Camp Sojourner, Girls’ Leadership Camp helps Philadelphia girls -- regardless of their economic background -- have the opportunity to take charge of their own lives and be agents of positive change in their communities. All programs are offered on a sliding scale, with significant scholarships.
