Through our personal involvement in Bikur Cholim, we are very familiar with its outstanding work and how valuable it is to so many patients and families. As recreational bicyclists we decided to combine a charitable goal with personal goals to achieve more.
As a regular BCGW volunteer, Saadia has seen first hand how much this support is needed and appreciated. Our patients are not only local people. People (adults and children) from all over the US as well as many from Israel who come to the NIH Clinical Center and other hospitals to obtain care for very critical medical conditions. For a sample of how much this assistance is needed and appreciated, please view this video testimonial (in Hebrew):
(You will need to copy and paste this link; it is worth the trouble.)
Please help by sponsoring our team and assist us to help BCGW continue to assist patients and their families.
Route Note: Last year Saadia and Hillel rode a 38 mile route along the historic C&O Canal while Paul rode the 38 mile route on nearby country roads. Hillel and Saadia will take a canal route again, Hillel and I will take a 38 mile route along the historic C&O Canal again, starting at Point of Rocks (mile 22.8) cycling upstream opposite Harpers Ferry and then on to Lock 37 (mile 42.1) We will then ride back to Point of Rocks. Paul will ride the 38 mile road route on nearby country roads.
