Howdy y’all.

 

God willing I will be Participating in the mitzvah cycle this year to help raise money for a great community cause, Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington. They do so much for the community and for those that come from far and near for Medical services in this area. They provide meals, rides, Bikur Cholim rooms, financial assistance on top of much more!!! This year I was able to volunteer in a small way. Ill try to make it quick. I became aware of a hospital bed that someone was trying to get rid of and they hadn’t had much luck. I reached out to the team at Bikur Cholim and they told me to they would get back to me. They had not yet received a request to provide a hospital bed for a patient. But 20 minutes later the first request came in for one!! The connection was made and the family in need now has the hospital bed for their loved one. I remember reaching out a few days later to Bikur Cholim to find out what happened. They told me the story and and its hard for to put into words the feeling that I had from being able to help a family  out in their time of need. It was awesome!!

 

On a personal note my family has its own medical journey that we are going through. Whenever something comes up we know who to call. They have always helped in a very big way. Being a recipient of such kindness is not always easy and they make us  so comfortable that we feel that we are the ones helping them. They preform at the highest level of care, follow up when necessary and are always at the ready.
