I am so excited to be participating in the 13th Annual Mandel JCC Indoor Triathlon and Biathlon and Kids Tri!
Last year, the Mandel Jewish Community Center awarded over $425,000 to individuals and families in need. It is part of the mission of The J that all members of the community regardless of income should have equal opportunity to utilize the amazing programs and services offered at Mandel JCC. Through the financial assistance program, kids with special needs are able to enjoy summer camp with companion counselors, families become members, the elderly are provided warm kosher meals and a stronger community is built every day with connections that are made. Money raised will help support the following programs (to name a few)
Lunch Plus- The J's Senior Adult Hot Lunch Program: Served six day per week, this is a congregate hot lunch program serving over 12,000 meals per year to the frail elderly along with transportation services, medical screenings and social activities that alleviate loneliness and promote independence.
Individuals with Special Needs programming provides opportunities for those with emotional, physical and developmental disabilities and their families to take full advantage of nearly all of The Mandel JCC programs and services.
JCC Day Camps which provide one-on-one companions so children with special needs can participate in all of camp-life alongside their typical peers and be an integral part of The J’s camp community.
Playmakers Youth Theatre not only produces heart-warming and entertaining performances but is comprised of over 400 young actors of all denominations and abilities who come together through a common love of the theater.
Camp Wise overnight camp where in addition to sports, arts and culture, and outdoor adventures, campers learn to be kind to others, and be confident- traits that ultimately help them make a difference in the world around them.

The Mandel JCC Annual Triathlon, Biathlon and Kids Tri raises funds that allow us to distribute over $425,000 each year for families to participate in JCC programs including (but not limited to) abilities & inclusion programming, J Camps, Senior Adult services, and membership. Our goal is to never turn away anyone because of a family’s financial constraints. The event also helps increase awareness of health and wellness in the community.
