Why am I passionate about FREEDOM for all people?
Well simply, I feel it is my souls responsibility to live my faith. That said, according to my core spiritual beliefs ~ It is the God given BASIC RIGHT of all humans to have FREE WILL and CHOICE.
This undertaking has not been an easy road to travel and in these last 5 years, many times it has been a lonely road but I am more committed now then I have ever been because I have seen first hand what a small and dedicated group of people can do to help others become forever free.
Modern Slavery affects so many other causes I feel strongly about, so in choosing one where I feel I can not only make a difference within the context of this particular cause but also have a positive ripple affect regarding the other causes that are near to my heart, becoming a modern day abolitionist was the perfect place to put my resources, focus and love.
Our fellow sisters and brothers that are poor, homeless, jobless, addicted and or mentally ill are very vulnerable to being enslaved. Runaway youth & children around the world are at risk but especially in places where war, aids and famine have devastated the country or possibly left these babies orphans. Even our planet, through illegal mining, fishing, etc.. is being abused through Modern Slavery practices.
I walk so that my fellow brothers and sisters on this planet have choice, the same choice I treasure each day, I walk, so that my children and all of God's children are safe, I walk to ensure a safe & healthy planet for the next generation.
I walk because I know for sure that one step at a time, together, we can make a change!
