We love the Jewish Caring Network. The JCN literally swooped in like a superhero and saved our family when my father was on his deathbed and my husband was sick at the very same time.
Laivi has been sick for 9 years - it's a struggle that we deal with on a daily basis - finding new doctors, trying to find a cure, while trying to remain upbeat and keep the family running as smoothly as possible. Obviously, "it takes a village" and we are so grateful to many people in our lives. The JCN is there during the boring times, the times when no one else even knows there is anything going on, they are there to remember birthdays and holidays and anniversaries - dropping off packages and checking in to find out if any help is needed.
When we were in an emergency situation, they are there. If you help the JCN it helps the entire community - and for the next person who has a life changing health situation - they'll have someone to help and guide them through it, and the most important factor (in my mind) will be to know they are not alone. If you are able to give - please do. If you are able to give $1,000 - hooray! If you are able to give $18 or anywhere in between (or any level) - those are dollars that will be put to good use. The work force of the JCN are volunteers - the money goes directly to the families in need. It's a beautiful organization.
Thank you for supporting me and "Touching Lives and Making a Difference".
