2. What are the Dancer Options and Schedules?
There are three tiers of Dancers:
Mini Dancer-Dance for 2-4 hours
Junior Dancer-Dance for 4-8 hours
Dancer- Dance 8-12 hours
3. What Does Pledging to the Dance Mean, Exactly?
By committing to this event, and pledging to raise money for its success, you are helping raise invaluable funds for less toxic childhood cancer research!
We are dedicated to this much needed research and all proceeds raised from the iDance4aCURE dance marathons will allow us to fund childhood cancer research around the globe! Over the past 4 years and because of your support, we have donated over $300,000 to research and hope to reach one million dollars for research!
We wish you all the success possible. Remember that when you are tired and feel as though you may not want to continue, there are others out there who don't have the choice. Let's dance for them!
4. How can my sponsors submit payment?
Online contributions can be made by credit card on the dancers personalized page found on our website at www.wizathon.com/idance4acure-mfdusa. Just make sure to tell your sponsors to select your name from the list of dancers.
5. I am concerned that I might not be able to raise the required funds. Will I be able to do it?
Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but enjoyable, to set and reach your goals. Please refer to the sample letters found on your personal fundraising page center, that explains the program your dancing supports, and you will be surprised to see how quickly friends, family, and co-workers will respond to your request to help this wonderful cause. Just remember to make it personal as well, as you want them to know that they are sponsoring YOU and YOUR efforts! And, as many companies offer charitable donation matching programs, make sure to ask your sponsors to check with their employers, as it will help you meet your goal ever more quickly.
6. Is the event only for dancers?
No! The event is designed as an evening of fun and fitness for many. Just get permission from the organizer or studio to attend if you are not already a dancer at the studio.
In addition to the dancing, there is food, games and tons of music and dancing!
7. Do You Dance Alone or as a Team?
Either! Participants can dance as an individual or create their own or join a team to dance on.
8. I have never danced in a marathon. Will I be able to finish?
Absolutely! We provided morale and some breaks.
9. Is there a refund/exchange policy?
Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, simply make us aware of the issue and we will be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes or corrections. Dancer registration fees are not refundable.
