We are BDCP GLOBAL, a group of artists who seek to tell stories and speak to our audiences through movement. Our style reflects the versatility of our Artistic Director (and BCDP founder) SKooJ CorE-O -- while much of our work is contemporary-based, we are truly “fusion” dancers hailing from diverse training backgrounds and bringing the influences of hip hop, jazz, modern, improvisation, ballet, musical theater, and pedestrian movement into our vocabulary.
Since our conception in 2011, BCDP GLOBAL has grown tremendously and now draws on talent from movers living across New England and beyond. We perform at local and regional showcases, charity benefits, competitions, and our own original annual benefit show. We also aim to make dance more accessible to our surrounding community through holding weekly open classes, hosting workshops and intensives (such as Contemporize), and traveling to share our knowledge and passion with movers of all ages and levels.
We further give back to the community by raising funds for a unique cause during each of our annual shows, and by providing scholarships to young dancers we encounter throughout the region. At our core, we find value in exploring, growing, and creating together. With SKooJ's expertise in composition, choreography, and performance we know we are in great hands as we continue to expand virtually and globally. We are always striving to push boundaries, to challenge ourselves and those around us, and of course, to follow the artistry.
