3 years ago, I had a seizure and fell out of bed. My wife (a nurse) called 911 and I went to the hospital in an ambulance. The MRI results completely changed my life. I had a Grade 2 (glioma) tumor on the left side of my brain. It took an 8 hour awake (!) brain surgery and 3 months of intensive speech therapy to get me back to normal. I'm so blessed to have the talented medical staff, family and loved ones who cared for me and assisted me in getting back to where I am today. Every day is a blessing.

 

I am so excited to be participating in the 16th Annual Heroes of Hope Race. Money raised from this event will fund Los Angeles Childhood and Adult brain tumor and cancer research.
