I am so excited to be participating in Good Grief's virtual event, Steps to Resilience! Resilience, much like a muscle, needs to be built over time to grow stronger. Steps to Resilience is an opportunity for me to fill each day with victories and milestones, no matter how small, while creating community at a time when isolation and loneliness are all around us.
I joined Good Grief because it's mission to help grieving children sits close to home. As many of you know, my family and I lost my dad when I was 8, my siblings were teens and young adults. We did not have this opportunity or space to grieve with those our age who understood our lose and pain in a safe place. I enjoy the opportunity to give back to something I did not have, so children and teens never feel they have to grieve alone. Watching children and teens resilience build in Good Grief is astounding and I hope others in my community will join me in these next 4 weeks!
This event raises critical funds for the 1,100+ grieving individuals who use Good Grief's free and unlimited programs each year. Your gift shows every child and every loss matter, especially during this challenging time.
Please support me in my efforts and make a donation today!
Thank you so much!
