Dave died suddenly in October 2015. We said our regular 'goodbyes' to him on what was to be his last day. Without warning he was gone from our lives. Aoibheann was six, and Liadain just four.
Three and a half years on life is super busy and there are so many things about the girls that would make Dave a super proud dad. Aoibheann plays her guitar in the basement just like he did. Both Liadain and Aoibheann embraced the slopes learning to ski this winter with the passion Dave put into everything.
Going to Good Grief every two weeks in Morristown has become part of our routine. The girls know they are not the only ones that are suffering a major loss in their lives. They are learning to manage grief in a healthy way. This summer, for the third time they are attending a wonderful expressions camp for grieving kids. It's another community that we are part of.
Myself and the girls as part of TEAM DAVE are going to participate in the Good Grief 2K Walk For Hope. Funds raised from this event will be used to provide unlimited and free support to children, teens, young adults, and families after the death of a mother, father, sister, or brother through our peer support programs, education, and advocacy.
I hope that you will support us by making a gift today!
Thank you for your support!
Niamh, Aoibheann & Liadain.
