Hello, as some of you know, PKU is near and dear to our family. I am eternally grateful to God that it is not a life-threatening disease. However, it is a rare and life-challenging disease. PKU has unique challenges that affect our whole family.
May is PKU Awareness Month and I am excited to walk/run with my family on May 4th to raise awareness and funding for this rare disease.
This disease only requires one gene replacement and I am hopeful that I will see the day that our beyond-amazing young family member will receive that new gene!
I am grateful for prayers, spreading the word about PKU, and even a $5 donation to New England PKU Alliance (NECPAD). Thank you truly! Hugs, Cindy
We, the New England Connection for PKU and Allied Disorders (NECPAD), will engage the Boston-area Phenylketonuria (PKU) and local running communities in a 5k walk/run. Our aim is to bring these communities together, spread PKU awareness and raise funds for NECPAD to continue to support our community, and ongoing PKU related research.
