Dogtoberfest is all about the dogs...and cats. It's a season of celebration and fundraising for shelter pets that you and your furry friends can enjoy together.
PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING CONTEST
The peer-to-peer fundraising contest ends October 31st at 2:00 p.m. Register by donating at least $25 then invite your friends and family to sponsor you by making a donation to your fundraising effort. The top three fundraisers will win the first, second, and third highest fundraising prizes:
1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $250
3rd Place - $125
In addition, all registrants who raise at least $100 are automatically entered for a chance to win a private K-9 demonstration for up to twenty people by the Upland Police Department K-9 Unit.
Winners will be announced during the Halloween Night YouTube Livestream Concert by "The VP" band.

Every week in October, don't miss your chance to participate in the following contests for your chance to win a "swag bag" of prizes, including a $10 gift certificate for 2nd Chance Thrift Shop and other goodies:
Weekly Costume Contests: Just by registering and uploading a photo of you and/or your furry friends onto your fundraising page, you'll be automatically entered into the weekly costume contests. We'll be picking the two best photos, one in costume and one in costume or not, every week and sharing on social media.
Weekly Highest Fundraiser: Just by registering, you'll be automatically entered into the weekly fundraising contest. The participant with the highest amount by midnight every Thursday in October will win a prize.
Weekly "How I'm Celebrating Dogtoberfest": Show us how you and/or your furry friends are celebrating the Fall season during Dogtoberfest! Send a photo or video to firstname.lastname@example.org and the best photo or video will win a prize.
SPECIAL Halloween Week Contest - Tricks for Treats: Send a photo or video of your dog doing a trick for treats to email@example.com and the best photo or video will win a prize and be announced and shared on Friday, October 30th.

You can have your photo taken and emailed to you for $30.

Dragon's Tale Brewery on Saturday, October 24: Stop by Dragon's Tale Brewery between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at 8920 Vernon, Suite 122 in Montclair for a "grab and go" fundraiser and Friends will get 20% of your purchase. This fundraiser is open to everyone and does not require registration. More details coming soon.
Stout House on Friday, October 30: Stop by the Stout House between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at 1294 W. 9th Street in Upland for a "grab and go" fundraiser. Take home a fresh-filled 32-ounce crowler and Friends will get 20% of your purchase. This fundraiser is open to everyone and does not require registration. More details coming soon.
"BEST IN DOGTOBERFEST" HALLOWEEN VIRTUAL COSTUME CONTEST
On Halloween night, during our YouTube Livestream Concert (below), we'll be announcing the winners of the prizes for the "Best in Dogtoberfest" costume contest from among all of the registration entries, including weekly winners. One winner will be chosen for each of the following categories:
LIVESTREAM CONCERT ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT
Rancho Cucamonga-native-band The VP will be performing a free livestream concert on Halloween night benefiting shelter animals! The concert will be streamed on the Friends of Upland Animal Shelter YouTube channel at 8:00 p.m. The concert is FREE; however, we'll be accepting donations via PayPal directly on the Friends YouTube channel while the concert streams. The band will announce the winners of the peer-to-peer fundraiser and "Best in Dogtober" costume contest.
