Family In Israel
Whether it be the smallest infant in a day care, a child who has to be removed from their home because of neglect, a student struggling to get through high school, a family falling apart, or an elderly person who needs company, Emunah is there to help from generation to generation.
In these trying times every Emunah project is dealing with new challenges. Throughout the crisis our children's homes stayed open because the children have nowhere else to go. Additional supplies and provisions, as well as extra therapists and staff, have been provided to help the children cope with what has become the latest trauma in their young lives.
Evidence from around the world shows that domestic abuse and violence is up. The Emunah Sarah Ronson Counselling Centre in Sderot was forced to close but had to reopen within hours. There was an incredible demand and the therapists were compelled to go to work, at great risk to themselves and their families.
Due to the Covid 19 crisis in Israel, Emunah's expenses have unexpectedly increased substantially and it has been left with an unanticipated budget deficit.
