Hello!
Last year I ran a 5k in the Texas heat to support BAF. BAF's mission is to reduce the disproportionate burden of environmental hazards in communities of color by supporting Ph.D. students entering the field of hazard and disaster management--like me! This year again, I shall brave the same heat to support this mission.

The 2021 7th Annual BAF Disaster Dash will be held in concurrence with the 46th Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop, an event with international attendance that will be hosted *virtually* July 11-14 by the University of Colorado Boulder Natural Hazards Center.
Proceeds from the event will support the Bill Anderson Fund mission to expand the number of professionals from historically underrepresented groups in the fields of hazards and disaster research and practice. Funds raised during this event ensure the delivery of robust programming for our Fellows and Alumni. Join us in July and run or walk where you are to send a clear message on the vital need for additional representation in our field.
