MY STORY
Hello friends and family!

I am so excited to be participating in the iANDA! 5K for HAVEN Free Clinic on October 11, 2020. All proceeds from this event will support the HAVEN Free Clinic, a student-run primary care clinic that partners with Yale University to provide comprehensive primary care services to members of the New Haven community free-of-charge.

I have been volunteering with HAVEN for 3 years in the reproductive health department. We are able to offer birth control, pap smears, breast exams and much more. It has been amazing to see so many different people come together for this clinic and share such different perspectives that help to make HAVEN so well rounded.

We are able to offer reproductive health care, primary care, mental health services, diabetes management, lab services and even medical debt management. All this takes an incredible amount of time and energy from volunteers as well as financial support.

Given everything that is going on in the world right now access to healthcare is so important. We are already seeing an overwhelming need which we are trying so hard to fill with telehealth and in-person visits. Please help to ensure that we can continue to offer care to the people of New Haven.

I would greatly appreciate your help sponsoring me in this event. To do so, you can donate on my personal fundraising page or give money to me directly. Any amount, no matter how big or small, will be going to a great cause!

We are a student-run clinic that has provided comprehensive primary care at no cost to uninsured patients in New Haven for the past 14 years. In 2018 alone, we cared for over 650 of our community members. The annual 5K race, our signature fundraising event, typically raises 70% of our total annual departmental budget.

Thank you so much in advance for your support and generosity!

What your support means:
$25 – 1 complete blood test
$50 – 1 hepatitis B vaccine
$165 – a comprehensive patient visit
$439 – support the care of 1 HAVEN patient for an entire year
