the VETERAN GUIDON 5k

The VETERAN GUIDON 5K is a run/walk built to bring together Veterans and the Community under a common love for our Flag and the country she represents.  This year the VETERAN GUIDON 5k acts as fundraiser to bring support for the HEROES HAVEN therapy retreat. 

 

 

Who is behind it?

DAS HOOAH is a non-profit organization created and run by veterans. Our mission is to create conversations. When we converse about struggles, hopes, and dreams, we open up opportunities for solutions, understanding, and help.

 

Having taken back our lives from the often times invisible grips of combat related or military sexual trauma, our team has been dedicated to finding and sharing new hope to those veterans dealing with PTSD or MST. 

 

Our current focus is on setting in motion a recurring week long therapy retreat named HEROES HAVEN.

 

 

HEROES HAVEN retreat

Built around the combination of proven therapies; this retreat provides people in our community the life skills and abilities they need to combat the various forms and degrees of post traumatic stress and military sexual trauma. 

 

The proceeds from the VETERAN GUIDON 5k allows DAS HOOAH to put in motion one full retreat. It also allows our team to establish the needed workings to build additional programs that create further funds allowing HEROES HAVEN to be available to Veterans across the United States.

 

 

What do I do?

Build, buy, or borrow a Guidon (flag) that represents who you run for. You can run for the Rebel Alliance, represent the best Pokemón GO team, run in the name a loved one who served our country, your school, your regiment, your branch of the military, or what ever you want to run for. 

 

Come run your guidon behind "Old Glory" as she leads the way, and support your local veterans by making HEROES HAVEN a reality.
