Now more than ever, Camp Sojourner's transformative, life-changing, leader-making, self-empowering program is critical to the support of Philly girls' futures. This summer, I will be returning to camp (with Wes in tow) as a member of the admin team for my 8th year of involvement! Camp Sojo not only provides Philly girls with the opportunity to attend a one-week sleepaway camp, but it show full storyfacilitates year-round activities and workshops which focus on leadership, social justice, and the creative arts. Camp Sojourner empowers girls to be leaders in their communities, to stand up to injustice, to care for the environment, and to support one other. Money raised for the 11th Annual Sojourner Truth Walk will support Camp Sojourner, making it possible to send girls to camp and to maintain the year-round leadership development programs including mentoring, service projects, creative arts, nature hikes, and college tours.
