On March 11, 2016, I went in for routine monitoring at 38week, 5 days. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, I heard the worst thing any mother should ever have to hear: "There is no heartbeat." My son, Cameron Alexander Bolenbaugh, was born later that night at 10:50pm - He was absolutely perfect and looked just like his Daddy. They declared him stillborn, as his cord had somehow managed to wrap around his neck twice. I am participating in this event in honor of my Little Bear, so that I can help raise funds with the hope that one day families may not have to endure the pain of losing a child or at least help them learn to somehow cope with the pain a little better.

 

I am so excited to be participating in Lydie's Loop: Steps Against Stillbirth. Money raised from this event will be used to increase awareness, support research, promote education, and encourage advocacy and family support regarding stillbirth.
