TEAM STORY
Garrett Jamison Wimmer was our first child.  He was destined to be spoiled because he was also the first grandchild on both sides of his family, and first niece/nephew on both sides of his family!

We were all so excited to begin this exciting new adventure and phase of our lives.  For 38 weeks, the pregnancy was filled with great reports and amazing memories.  On July 30, 2004, he stopped moving and we were told that his heart had stopped beating.  Our hearts also froze in that moment.  The shock that healthy parents expecting a healthy baby would soon be delivering a stillborn baby and planning a funeral was more than we could absorb.

It’s been 12 years since we held him and welcomed him into our family on July 31, 2004.  We think of him and miss him every day.  He has shaped who we are and taught us so much about life and love.  The Star Legacy Foundation was created from our passion to honor him.  His impact on this world and other families continues to grow.  We are proud of his legacy and it is our pleasure to encourage improvements in stillbirth prevention in his name and the memory of all the other angel babies.

We hope you will join us on September 24th to honor and remember so many babies.   If you aren't able to come, please consider registering virtually and making a donation. Your support will help Star Legacy Foundation launch later this year the first ever Pregnancy Research Registry and Project IMPROVE (a training program for health professionals to more thoroughly investigate these tragic losses), and so much more. Visit Star Legacy Foundation to learn more about our work.

Thank you for your continued support and love!
